A "Do Not Forget" List for Beach Days

Alright babes, I put together a list of your beach must haves that you definitely won't want to forget for your days at the beach. You're Welcome (;

1. Towel or Sheet

This one is kind of obvious. No one wants to lay on the hot sand. A sheet is huge so you'll have plenty of room but a towel will do just fine. I suggest bringing a towel if you plan on taking a dip in the water.

2. Dark Tanning Oil

If you have fair skin or burn easily, for the love of God, do not forget sunscreen you will regret it and it's totally not worth the gnarly sunburn. For my ladies who tend not to burn I suggest wearing sunscreen but definitely make sure you bring your Dark Tanning Oil by Sainte Muse, you will leave the beach with an effortless dark tan.

Do not forget to bring water. This is bound to take a toll on your body that only water can restore. It is so important to stay hydrated when spending a day in the hot sun.

Pictured: Sainte Muse water bottle (in store only). Fader Magazine (July/Aug 2017). Sunnies are from Steve Madden. You can get the Sainte Muse Dark Tanning Oil and Luxe Rosé Facial Mist at

4. Book or Magazine

I prefer to stay off my phone while I'm at the beach and although the view is nice and people watching is entertaining, I like to bring a good book or magazine to get into while I'm relaxing on the beach.

5. Luxe Rosé Facial Mist

Your skin is definitely not feeling it's best when you're sweating your a$$ off at the beach, so bring a facial mist like the Luxe Rosé Facial Mist to spray on your face when it feels gross or sweaty. It will leaves your face refreshed and feeling better than ever.

6. Sunnies

You'll most deff want a cute pair of sunnies to protect your eyes from the sun while you're laying on the beach looking fab, and to stunt in cute insta photos.

Those are the basics that I can't have an enjoyable beach day without. Of course you can personalize your bag to fit your needs but make you're not forgetting these 6 things and I promise you a beautiful successful beach day. Enjoy.

xoxo, Taylor

Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves for your Bag this Festival Season!

Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves for your Bag this Festival Season!

It’s that time of year again. Festival season is right around the corner. Whether it means massive events like Coachella, Sasquatch!, Bonnaroo, or something a little more low-key like the Telluride, Bluegrass festival, or even the Phish tour. As fun as festivals are, there are some things you definitely don’t want to forget to pack. Water, your ticket, cameras, and phones are essentials, but today we are going to talk about the beauty essentials you definitely don’t want to forget to throw in your bag.

1.) First things, first you always want to stay hydrated at festivals, not just you literally, but your face too. The moisturizer I’m always reaching for and can’t travel anywhere without is the Doux Moisturizer by Sainte Muse. It’s super light weight which is important to me on days where I’m going to be spending a lot of time outside in the hot sun. It is also keeps my face moisturized all day long, without adding any extra oil to my face.
2.) A tinted moisturizer will do you good at festivals, it’ll give your face a little coverage but it’s super light weight, because who wants a heavy face of makeup when you’re gonna be spending the day sweating your ass of at a music festival, ya idk. My favorite tinted moisturizer is the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer by NARS, but really any tinted moisturizer will do the trick.
3.) I don’t know about you guys, but I think this is a festival essential for sure, whatever you do, DO NOT FORGET A HIGHLIGHTER!!!! I know I love to be glowing and shining and I’m pretty sure you agree, so grab your favorite highlighter and toss it in your bag, (gently of course, you really don’t want to break it, that could end up messy..). If you don’t have a favorite highlighter I recommend going to your nearest makeup store and testing some out.
4.) You’ll want to bring a facial mist with you as well, a mist is nice to have because it’s not only refreshing but if you’re makeup starts to look dull it can pretty much bring it back to life. My favorite facial mist is the Luxe Rosé Facial Mist by Sainte Muse literally one of the best things that has ever entered my life. I love face mists, they are so refreshing but this one is a notch above the rest. It gives my face such a refreshed and clean feeling, but it never makes my skin oily and that’s so important.
This is another super important one, do not forget makeup wipes, I promise you will regret it. I get it, you’re at a music festival, you’re going to be exhausted, BUT It is not okay to sleep with your makeup on. Just grab a makeup wipe and get that makeup off your face. You will feel so much better in the morning and your skin will thank you. Even if it’s the middle of the day and your face just feels gross, grab a makeup wipe and wipe that shit off, you’ll feel better!
6.) Let’s be real, keeping your hair fleeky all damn day at a music festival isn’t an easy task. Always bring Sea Salt Spray. If your hair just isn’t cooperating or you just want some hot beach waves, spray a little sea salt in your hair and you’ll be looking like a million bucks.
7.) Dry Shampoo and music festivals really go hand in hand, showers are usually rare at music festivals so dry shampoo will be a life saver. If you’re hair is looking a little greasy or it just feels gross to you, spray some of that shit in there and you’re hair will look clean and smell clean and it’ll add a little volume to your hair.
8.) Nobody want’s to catch a wild sunburn at a music festival (talk about uncomfortable). Pack sunscreen. It doesn’t matter what kind or what SPF (although I recommend something with SPF 50 or more, to be extra cautious), just make sure you have some sort of sunscreen on at all times.
9.) Going right along with the highlighter, do not forget you body shimmer. Nothing looks better than gorgeous glowing skin. It’ll also totally match the aesthetic… Music Festival… Body Shimmer, they belong together.
10.) Last but not least, don’t forget your tanning oil. Although you don’t want to get sunburnt, getting a little tan wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. I like to apply my Dark Tanning Oil by Sainte Muse anytime I know I’m going to be in the sun for a long period of time. It helps me catch some rays and also keeps my skin looking shiny and smooth.

After you pack those 10 things you’ll be all set on the beauty essentials for your festival season. Have fun and always be safe. I hope your festival season is everything you hoped for and more!

See ya, Taylor.

Boss Babe Interview - Danielle Rocha

Boss Babe Interview - Danielle Rocha

I got the pleasure to interview Danielle Rocha, owner and designer of Rocha Swim, a hot swim suit line, that you totally need in your life. She not only designs all the swim suits but also hand makes them. Now we are giving you the opportunity to hear a little bit about her life, her business, and her advice!

Hometown: Santa Barbara, CA

Current Location: Santa Barbara, CA

Birth Sign: Taurus

Hobbies and Interests: Gardening, being active, outdoors, drawing, riding dirt bikes, fashion & design

Describe your style: I've always been a tomboy, but I also love feeling pretty... My style is usually street wear/casual but I love including one piece into my outfits that enhances my womanly curves. And I've done the same with my swimwear, they are designed for the everyday active girl that loves feeling pretty and loves her curves.

What do you say was the biggest challenge when creating a company from scratch?: My biggest challenge would definitely be my age, and not because people wouldn't take me serious but not many 19 year olds have a ton of money saved up to start a business from the ground up and I did not grow up in a wealthy family. Of course my parents and boyfriend helped me however they could, but the start up costs of a business is what I struggled with.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?: In the next 5 years I see myself having a family, Rocha Swim running it's self for the most part, traveling even more than I do now for events, photoshoots and different fashion weeks. And walking into boutiques and seeing a Rocha Swim display with all our products.

So you created your own bathing suit line which is incredibly impressive, can you tell me a little bit about it and what inspired you to start it?: Rocha Swim is a Brazilian/ 1980s inspired bikini line. I was inspired to start Rocha Swim when I kept dealing with the same issue over and over again. As a very petite woman with curves I've always had a hard time finding suits that fit, it seemed like the only ones that fit were the suits in the Junior Section (which I was not fond of.) The more women I ran into that had this issue made me realize there was a problem that needed to be fixed.

You design and hand make all of the bathing suits, which means you have complete creative control how do you come up with new ideas for designs?: Yes having complete creative control is awesome! (and exhausting at times.) Because my line is Brazilian/ 1980's inspired means I am always looking in the past and present. Whether it's looking at pictures of my mom when she was younger and studying the clothes they wore, or studying the daring cuts of bikinis that are popular in Brazil right now. As a creative its hard to explain what inspires me, I could look at a piece of stone and see different images in it or see texture that I think would look great on a bikini.

Do you have inspiring female role models that motivate you? Tell me about them.: YES!!! Im pretty sure if I wrote about all of them this would turn into a 20 page interview. I have a great friends, family and co workers that inspire me every single day. Some inspire me business wise, or some inspire me fashion wise and some even inspire me to be a better person/ business owner.

Advice for Future Boss Girls?: NEVER, EVER give up. It's so easy to give up when times get tough, but all you gotta do is remind yourself that you truly are a Boss Babe and no one can stop you from succeeding.

How do you stay inspired and refreshed?: Traveling, I recently went to Japan for a couple weeks and I could not believe how inspired I was by the culture, the fashion, the food, the scenery.

What is the best piece of business advice you have ever received?: Quality over Quantity.

What does a “typical” day look like for you? : My typical day, usually I wake up eat some breakfast, get ready, head out to my shop, work there most of the day, head over to the post office to drop off everyones order's, head to the gym after, then eat dinner, post to social media on Rocha Swim, read some fashion blogs and then get ready for bed. Some days depending on how stressful my day was I like to put on a mask right before bed to relax a bit.

On that note, what does your morning routine look like?: My morning, I wake up around 7:30am. Watch Good Morning America for a bit while checking emails and social media notifications on my phone, get up, wash my face with my whole skin care routine, while my moisturizer is soaking in I make some breakfast, if I'm feeling lazy its cereal, if I'm feeling really hungry and in the mood to cook I'll make avocado toast with an egg, turkey bacon and potatoes with a glass of OJ. Once I'm done eating, I brush my teeth, apply my make up and then do my hair.. pick out what I'm wearing for the day and put it on and usually right after that I'm out the door and on with my day.

Hope you all enjoyed this interview, and a special thanks to our Boss Babe Danielle for her time on this interview. Don’t forget to check out Rocha Swim and stock up on bathing suits for the summer, and nothing goes better with swim suits than my all time favorite tanning oil, The Dark Tanning Oil by Sainte Muse. With a dark tan and a hot swim suit, you'll be ready to slay at the beach all summer long!
