7 Things you Should be Doing to Take Care of your Face!

If you’re looking for tips and tricks to make your skin healthier and appear better you are in the right spot. These are 7 things you should be doing to take care of your lovely skin.

 

 

1. Wash off your makeup.
Believe me when I say, I know how hard it can be to wash off your makeup at night. When you’re watching Netflix and you’re suddenly so tired you can hardly keep your eyes open but you still have your makeup on. You’re thinking to yourself, “what’s one night” GIRL, go wash that makeup off. I promise if you don’t, you’ll totally regret it. Makeup left on the skin overnight can clog pores, breed bacteria, and cause breakouts. Please, ladies, wash your makeup off your face at night!

 

2. Consider your diet.

I’m sure you’ve already heard about dairy causing acne, but that’s not the only food that can cause you to break out. Try your best to focus on nutritional meals. Your body will thank you and so will your skin. Stay away from processed carbs. Fruits and vegetables are the way to go!

 

 

3. Wear Sunscreen daily.
No matter the time of year, sunscreen protects against harmful rays that are always present no matter the season. UV rays are very harmful to the skin, they cause premature aging of the skin and can also cause skin cancer. Sunscreen is necessary for healthy skin.
 
 
4. Wash your makeup brushes.
Think about it, how often do you use your makeup brushes? Okay, now when was the last time you cleaned them? Makeup brushes collect, makeup, oil, dust, dead skin cells, and other debris. Every time you use them you are putting that on your face! Your dirty brushes can cause acne, skin irritation and infections.

 

5. Incorporate a vitamin C antioxidant serum into your skincare routine.
As a proactive measure to keep your skin’s elasticity and health, make sure you’re looking at the ingredients in your products. A vitamin C antioxidant serum is one of the most important anti-aging products available. Unlike some harsher anti-aging ingredients, antioxidant serums are generally tolerated by all skin types.

 

6. Face masks.
Face masks are incredibly important. With that being said, certain face masks work for certain skin types and don’t work at all for others.  7. Getting enough sleep.
Make sure you are getting enough sleep. It’s called beauty sleep for a reason!!!! When you’re asleep your body has time to repair and regenerate. Not getting proper or enough sleep can contribute to inflammation which impacts the immediate and long-term appearance of the skin.
