Let us never forget that girls run the world, as our Queen Bey once said. In honor of the fact that girls freakin rock, I though I would put together a guide of 5 Healthy Girlboss Habits. I like to consider myself a "Girlboss", but I am always looking for tips, tricks, and habits to pick up that might make my business, personal, and all around lifestyle, better.
1. Waking Up Early
This one used to be really hard for me. I considered myself a night person and definitely not a morning person. I didn’t see the hype in getting up early, but I always found myself so stressed out because there just didn’t seem like there was enough hours in the day.. One day it hit me, there isn’t enough hours in the day because I sleep them away. Once that became clear to me I started getting up at a decent time and going to be at a decent time and luckily I got on a schedule. Not to mention the morning is so beautiful and peaceful.
This is a habit I picked up within the last year and it has truly changed my life for the better. My mind is always going, from the minute I wake up in the morning to the minute I finally fall asleep at night. While I’m doing one thing, my mind is already thinking of something else. By the end of the day I am truly just mentally exhausted. It’s so important for me to set aside some time to just sit and focus on my breathing and trying to clear my mind. I’ve found that over time it’s become easier for me to clear my mind by mediating and it’s also incredibly refreshing.
3. Stop Procrastinating
This is a huge one that I, myself, am still working on. If you want to be a boss babe you have to stop procrastinating cause boss girls get shit done and make things happen. While procrastinators just think about stuff, I have days where procrastinating takes over and I get way less done then I should and it always puts me one step behind.
Exercising is not my favorite thing in the world but I always feel so much better after I do it. It’s good for your health and I want a nice body. It’s also good for your mind. My mind always feel a lot more clear after I exercise and I feel all around better. It sucks but it’s important.
5. Pamper Yourself
Now all of these go into taking care of yourself, but physically taking care of yourself is important. Taking time out of your life to focus on you can really help you feel better about yourself and feel more confident and confidence is a HUGE part in becoming a girl boss. Make some time to go get your nails done, or your hair. Even if it’s just doing a face mask, it is absolutely important to take some time out and focus on pampering you.
